Buy a Scone, Make a Match

This weekend, you can feed your belly and your soul at the same time! When you buy any scone at COBS Bread on May 12 & 13, we will donate 50 cents to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. Help us meet our goal of raising more than $50,000!

Fulfilling Dreams with Strawberries and Cream

Each spring, COBS Bread develops a new gourmet scone for our Big Brothers Big Sisters campaign.
This year, we’re delighted to introduce our new scone: Strawberries and Cream!
This scone is velvety and smooth. It is made with strawberry slices with strawberry cream cheese folded throughout and is topped with a decadent cream cheese icing. It is only available until May 16 so make sure you get it before it’s gone!
Fruit or Chocolate?

Behind the Bread – Bill Wood at Sherwood Centre & Lakeland Ridge

One and half years ago, Bill Wood, a resident of Sherwood Park, made the switch from working in the financial industry to becoming a COBS Bread owner. Since then he has never looked back and is now ramping up a second COBS Bread location in the Sherwood Centre Shopping Plaza. We sat down with Bill to get to know a little more about him and his transition from banker to baker.
Toasty Toppings

We’re putting the spotlight on our Artisan range which includes French Baguette, Pane di Casa and Turkish Bread. These versatile breads are great compliment to a home style meal or an elegant event. This season, we’ve focused in on making crostinis which are perfect for entertaining or snacking.
Crostini, which means little toast in Italian, is a fancy name for baguette slices that have been brushed with oil and baked until golden brown. Though delicious on their own, crostinis are the perfect base for an endless variety of toppings and spreads. Try our delicious and fail-safe crostini recipes using our Pane di Casa or French Baguettes. These flavour combinations will be sure to delight your taste buds.
